To induce vomiting...

Whats the matter?   Did you just eat some poison? Accidentally eat some strange pill from the ground?
Many times in such a situation one would induce vomiting with ipecac (I am not a doctor, if you ate poison go to the hospital and call poison control instead of looking for blogged answers)   but who has ipecac?     I sure don't. Well now I have discovered a surefire way to void your gut at a moments notice. The only side effect is a possible loss in faith of humanity.  http://www.snotr.com/video/675/A_blonde_and_a_3rd_grade_geography_question#1

The problem for me lies not in the ignorance of the contestant, or indeed in the video at all.  the true atrocity is the three year old argument that ensues. I dare anyone to read more than 20 of the comments on the video look somewhere in the middle. Usually the longer the reply is the longer you will barf.

Are people really so dumb

Of the more annoying and painstakingly obtuse trends I have noticed in this world,  the belittlement of the individual intelligence causes me the most grief.  A recent article I read hi lighted the dangerous nature of alcoholic whipped cream, arguing that people would easily mistake it for regular whipped cream and come to harm. First, it is sold in a damn liquor store. A liquor store that sells...   liquor, not pastry supplies. Even if this devil's dairy delight were to be found among yogurt and butter it is clearly says on the bottle,"Contains Alcohol." Are people really so dumb that they need hundreds of laws to prevent their self induced demise. Of course this is a relatively low level example, but it conveys my point.  Society depends on the individual to evolve, but the individual depends on society to live.   Perhaps it would be mutually beneficial if a little more faith were put in the common man.
